F&I Manager

Last updated: Oct 29, 2026

Position Type:

  • Full-time

Pay Rate: Base salary, based on experience + commission

We're hiring an F&I Manager to build our finance office from the ground up. We became a licensed Texas dealer this summer — motorized and towable — and sold our first six units in our first six weeks. Now we need the person who turns a handshake into a funded, compliant, fully-documented deal, every time.

The person who succeeds here knows lenders by name, presents a product menu the customer actually appreciates, and leaves a deal jacket a regulator could audit without a single question.

This isn't a seat in a high-volume F&I box. It's a build-the-office job: lender relationships, the product menu, compliance policies, the deal-jacket standard, and the handoff to title and funding. Our sales model is heavily consignment — our customers buy pre-owned Class A coaches, fifth wheels, and travel trailers from other owners through us — so you'll also own clean payoffs, lien releases, and seller funding.

Convenience RV is a vertically-integrated Class A RV operation in Willis, TX — sales, parts, service, storage, rentals, collision. We're growing toward a multi-bay, multi-phase facility, and the systems and processes are being written right now. If "I built this F&I office" sounds better to you than "I inherited one," read on.

Growth Path

You'll start as our F&I office of one. As consignment volume ramps — and with Phase 1 bringing more inventory, more traffic, and a showroom presence on I-45 — this role is expected to grow into Business Manager / F&I Director, owning the finance office, deal-desk staff, product strategy, and potentially a dealer-owned reinsurance program once volume supports it.

What Your Day Looks Like:

  • Credit & structuring: Taking credit applications, submitting through our lender portal (AppOne) and direct lenders, structuring term, rate, and down payment, and getting approvals and stipulations cleared.

  • Customer F&I presentation: Menu presentation of service contracts, GAP, tire & wheel, appearance protection, and roadside — transparent, compliant, and never pushy.

  • Contracting & funding: Retail installment contracts, buyer's orders, disclosures, and lender packages; chasing stips and pushing deals to funding fast.

  • Title, tax & registration: Texas title and registration via webDEALER, sales tax and VIT, temp tags, and lien recording; consignor payoffs and lien releases.

  • Compliance & deal jackets: OFAC and Red Flags checks, Privacy Notice, TILA/Reg Z and Safeguards Rule practices; one complete deal jacket per buyer, filed per our SOP.

  • Lender & product partners: Building and maintaining lender relationships (banks, credit unions, marine/RV specialists), product provider relationships, and chargeback tracking.

Required:

  • 3+ years as an F&I / Business Manager at an RV, marine, powersports, or automotive dealership.

  • Established lender relationships — RV and marine lenders a strong plus — and a track record of getting deals bought.

  • Working knowledge of federal and Texas finance compliance: TILA/Reg Z, ECOA, FCRA, OFAC, Red Flags, GLBA Privacy and Safeguards Rule, and Texas retail installment contract and title requirements.

  • Comfortable with dealer lender portals (AppOne, RouteOne, DealerTrack or similar) and Texas webDEALER title processing.

  • Meticulous with paperwork and deadlines; comfortable in MS Office 365 and cloud-based software.

  • Professional, consultative presence with high-net-worth customers.

Preferred:

  • RV-specific F&I experience, including high-dollar Class A diesel pusher financing and long-term (15–20 year) RV loan structures.

  • AFIP certification (Association of Finance & Insurance Professionals) or equivalent F&I compliance training.

  • Experience with consignment deals, seller payoffs, and out-of-state title transfers.

  • Experience setting up a product menu or a new finance office.

  • Familiarity with QuickBooks Online at a deal-recap level.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

  • Full-time, in-person, on-site in Willis, Texas. Remote work is not applicable.

  • Standard schedule Monday – Friday plus Saturdays as needed to close deals; schedule flexes with customer appointments.

  • Office environment with regular walks of the lot to see units with customers.

  • Occasional local travel to lenders and title offices.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary commensurate with experience, exempt, plus commission on F&I gross (reserve and product income), paid monthly net of chargebacks.

  • Total compensation grows with deal volume.

  • Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance available; paid time off; employee discount; professional development assistance, including AFIP certification.

  • Career growth: clear path to Business Manager / F&I Director as Phase 1 brings the new facility online.
